Liberia is an emerging tourism destination in West Africa, showcasing unique cultural experiences that may appeal to a segment of Ethiopia's 123 million residents. Although tourism revenues are currently modest, the country's potential for cultural exchange and exploration is beginning to attract international interest.
Liberia is considered relatively safe for tourists, especially when compared to Ethiopia. According to the Global Peace Index, Liberia ranks 67th out of 160 countries, while Ethiopia is ranked 142nd. In terms of crime rates, Liberia has a murder rate of 3.3 per 100,000 people, significantly lower than Ethiopia's rate of 8.8.
