Kyrgyzstan offers a compelling travel experience with its stunning landscapes and rich cultural heritage, making it an appealing option for some Azerbaijani tourists. With around 1 million Azerbaijanis traveling abroad annually, a portion may find Kyrgyzstan an attractive destination.
Kyrgyzstan is generally considered a relatively safe destination for tourists, including those from Azerbaijan. According to the Global Peace Index, Kyrgyzstan ranks 75th out of 160 countries, which is better than Azerbaijan's ranking of 104th. In terms of crime statistics, the murder rate in Kyrgyzstan is slightly lower than in Azerbaijan, with 1.7 per 100,000 people compared to Azerbaijan's 1.9. Additionally, the rate of female murders is also lower in Kyrgyzstan (0.5) than in Azerbaijan (1.3). When looking at organized crime indices, both countries have similar scores for mafia and crime networks (5.5). However, Kyrgyzstan has higher scores for state crime (8.5) and human trafficking (6.5) compared to Azerbaijan (7.5 and 4.5, respectively).
