Iran offers a unique appeal to visitors from the United Arab Emirates, thanks to its rich history and diverse landscapes. Please answer the following question: How safe is Iran for tourists coming from United Arab Emirates?

Iran's safety for tourists, particularly those coming from the United Arab Emirates, is a nuanced topic. According to the Global Peace Index, Iran ranks 131st out of 160 countries, significantly lower than the UAE's ranking of 52nd. In terms of crime statistics, the murder rate in Iran is 2.2 per 100,000 people, compared to just 0.5 in the UAE. For female murders, the rates are 0.6 in Iran and 0.4 in the UAE. The Global Organized Crime Index also highlights differences, with Iran scoring higher in various crime categories. For instance, Iran has a mafia group index of 7.0 (UAE: 1.0), and a state crime index of 9.5 (UAE: 6.0). While many tourists visit Iran without incident, it's advisable for travelers to stay informed and exercise caution, especially given the higher crime indices compared to the UAE.
