Ireland offers captivating landscapes and a rich cultural heritage, making it an appealing destination for international tourists. With millions drawn to its lush countryside and historic sites, it could attract a segment of the 12.4 million Russians who travel abroad annually.
Ireland is generally considered a safe destination for tourists, including those from Russia. While it ranks 35th out of 40 countries for safety when walking alone at night, it is still safer than Russia, which ranks 30th in that category. According to the Global Peace Index, Ireland is one of the safest countries globally, ranked 2nd out of 160 countries, compared to Russia's 154th position. In terms of crime statistics, Ireland has a significantly lower murder rate of 0.4 per 100,000 people, compared to Russia's 6.8. Additionally, various organized crime indices indicate that while both countries face challenges, Ireland generally has lower scores in areas such as state crime and human trafficking. Overall, while no destination is without risks, Ireland offers a safer environment for tourists compared to Russia, making it a favorable choice for travelers.
