Ireland offers enchanting landscapes and a rich cultural experience, making it an appealing destination for some travelers from Nepal. With 1.2 million Nepalese traveling abroad annually, a portion may find Ireland's lush countryside, historic sites, and unique culture attractive.
Ireland is generally considered a safe destination for tourists, including those from Nepal. According to the Global Peace Index, Ireland ranks 2nd out of 160 countries, indicating a high level of safety. In comparison, Nepal ranks 78th. While Ireland is ranked 35th out of 40 European countries for safety while walking alone at night, it still has a significantly lower murder rate of 0.4 per 100,000 people compared to Nepal's 2.1. In terms of organized crime, Ireland has lower indices in several categories, such as state crime (3.0 for Ireland vs. 8.5 for Nepal) and human trafficking (4.5 for Ireland vs. 7.0 for Nepal), suggesting a relatively safer environment. Overall, tourists from Nepal can feel secure while visiting Ireland, though it's always advisable to take standard safety precautions.
