Ireland offers enchanting landscapes and a rich cultural experience, making it an appealing destination for some Mozambicans. With its lush countryside, historic sites, and unique Irish culture, it could attract a segment of Mozambique's 33 million population.
Ireland is generally considered a safe destination for tourists, including those coming from Mozambique. According to the Global Peace Index, Ireland ranks 2nd out of 160 countries, indicating a high level of safety. In contrast, Mozambique is ranked 106th. When looking at murder rates, Ireland has a significantly lower rate of 0.4 per 100,000 people, compared to Mozambique's rate of 3.5. Additionally, Ireland's organized crime indices suggest a relatively lower risk in various categories, such as state crime (3.0 for Ireland vs. 9.0 for Mozambique) and crime networks (5.5 for Ireland vs. 8.0 for Mozambique). While Ireland is ranked 35th in safety for walking alone at night among 40 European countries, it remains a much safer environment overall compared to Mozambique. Tourists from Mozambique can expect a secure experience while visiting Ireland.
