Ireland offers enchanting landscapes and a rich cultural experience, making it an appealing destination for international tourists. With its lush countryside, historic sites, and unique Irish culture, it attracts millions annually. Among the 20.3 million Chinese travelers venturing abroad each year, a portion may find Ireland to be an intriguing destination.
Ireland is generally considered a safe destination for tourists, including those from China. According to the Global Peace Index, Ireland ranks 2nd out of 160 countries, indicating a high level of safety. In terms of murder rates, Ireland has a rate of 0.4 per 100,000 people, slightly lower than China's 0.5. However, when looking at safety while walking alone at night, Ireland ranks 35th out of 40 European countries, which may raise some concerns. Additionally, the Global Organized Crime Index shows that while both countries face challenges, Ireland generally has lower scores in various crime categories compared to China. Overall, while there are some safety considerations, Ireland remains a relatively safe country for tourists.
