The United Kingdom is generally considered safer for tourists compared to Afghanistan. It ranks 34th out of 160 countries on the Global Peace Index, indicating a relatively high level of safety. In contrast, Afghanistan ranks 157th. In terms of crime statistics, the murder rate in the UK is significantly lower, at 1.0 per 100,000 people, compared to Afghanistan's 4.0. Additionally, the UK has lower indices for organized crime, state crime, and various forms of trafficking, suggesting a more stable environment for visitors.
