France is a leading global tourism destination, attracting millions annually with its vibrant and diverse offerings. While it appeals to many travelers, a portion of the 11 million Ukrainians who travel abroad each year may find France particularly interesting.
France is generally considered safer for tourists compared to Ukraine. According to the Global Peace Index, France ranks 84th out of 160 countries, while Ukraine is much lower at 156th. In terms of murder rates, France has a rate of 1.1 per 100,000 people, significantly lower than Ukraine's rate of 3.8. When it comes to organized crime, both countries have similar scores, but France tends to have lower indices in areas such as state crime and resource crime. Overall, while France has its challenges, it is a safer destination for tourists coming from Ukraine.
