France is a premier global tourism destination, attracting millions of visitors annually. While it may appeal to some travelers from Eswatini, only a portion of the approximately 300,000 Swazis who travel abroad each year may choose to visit France.
France is generally considered safe for tourists, including those from Eswatini. While it ranks 40th out of 40 European countries for safety when walking alone at night, it is still safer than Eswatini, which ranks 101st globally. According to the Global Peace Index, France is ranked 84th out of 160 countries, indicating a higher level of safety compared to Eswatini. In terms of crime statistics, France has a significantly lower murder rate of 1.1 per 100,000 people, compared to Eswatini's 12.7. Additionally, while both countries face organized crime challenges, France's indices for various crime categories are generally higher, indicating a more stable environment. Overall, tourists from Eswatini can feel relatively safe while visiting France, although it's always advisable to remain vigilant and take standard safety precautions while traveling.
