France is a premier global tourism destination, attracting millions of visitors annually due to its vibrant and diverse appeal. While it may interest some of the 800,000 Jordanians who travel abroad each year, the overall number of visitors from Jordan is likely to be modest compared to the total influx France receives.
France presents a moderate level of safety for tourists from Jordan. According to safety rankings, France is 40th among 40 European countries for safety while walking alone at night. In the Global Peace Index, France ranks 84th out of 160 countries, whereas Jordan ranks higher at 65th. When comparing murder rates, Jordan has a slightly lower rate at 1.0 per 100,000 people, compared to France's 1.1. Female murder rates are also similar, with Jordan at 0.6 and France at 0.7. In terms of organized crime, Jordan generally scores better than France across various categories, such as mafia groups (Jordan 1.5 vs. France 6.0) and crime networks (Jordan 7.0 vs. France 6.5). However, France performs better in state crime (France 3.0 vs. Jordan 6.5). Overall, while France is a popular tourist destination, visitors from Jordan should remain aware of their surroundings and take standard precautions.
