France is a premier global tourism destination, attracting millions of visitors annually due to its vibrant culture and diverse offerings. While it may appeal to a segment of Brunei's population, the overall interest among Bruneians could be limited.
France's safety for tourists, including those from Brunei, presents a mixed picture. It ranks 40th among 40 European countries for safety while walking alone at night, indicating some concerns. According to the Global Peace Index, France is ranked 84th out of 160 countries, suggesting a moderate level of safety overall. In terms of crime statistics, France has a murder rate of 1.1 per 100,000 people, compared to Brunei's very low rate of 0.5. Additionally, various organized crime indices indicate that France faces higher levels of organized crime compared to Brunei, particularly in areas like human trafficking and drug trade. While France offers rich cultural experiences, tourists should remain aware of their surroundings and take standard safety precautions.
