France is a leading global tourism destination, attracting millions of visitors annually due to its vibrant culture and diverse appeal. For a segment of Bangladesh's 171 million population, France presents an intriguing travel opportunity.
France is generally considered safe for tourists, including those from Bangladesh. It ranks 40th among 40 European countries for safety while walking alone at night, indicating some concerns, but it is still safer than Bangladesh, which ranks 91st in the Global Peace Index. In terms of murder rates, France has a lower rate at 1.1 per 100,000 people compared to Bangladesh's 2.4. Additionally, various crime indices show that while both countries face challenges, France has lower scores in several categories related to organized crime and human trafficking. Overall, while caution is always advised when traveling, France presents a relatively safer environment for tourists compared to Bangladesh.
