Ethiopia offers a unique blend of rich culture and historical landmarks, making it an appealing destination for some Kuwaitis. The country's diverse tourism options, including cultural, adventure, and business experiences, cater to various interests, potentially attracting a segment of Kuwait's 4 million population.
Ethiopia's safety for tourists, particularly those coming from Kuwait, is a concern based on various safety indices. The Global Peace Index ranks Ethiopia 142nd out of 160 countries, indicating a lower safety level compared to Kuwait, which ranks 25th. In terms of crime statistics, the murder rate in Ethiopia is significantly higher at 8.8 per 100,000 people, compared to Kuwait's very low rate of 0.3. The Global Organized Crime Index also reflects higher risks in Ethiopia with various indices indicating more organized crime activities compared to Kuwait. Overall, while tourism is possible in Ethiopia, travelers from Kuwait should exercise caution and stay informed about the local situation.
