Egypt is generally considered safer for tourists compared to Russia, based on various safety metrics. According to the Global Peace Index, Egypt ranks 103rd out of 160 countries, while Russia ranks 154th. In terms of murder rates, Egypt has a lower rate at 2.6 per 100,000 people, compared to Russia's 6.8.
