The safety of the Dominican Republic for tourists from Belgium can be considered relatively lower compared to Belgium. Belgium ranks 16th in the Global Peace Index and has a low murder rate of 1.1 per 100,000 people, while the Dominican Republic is ranked 95th with a significantly higher murder rate of 10.5. Crime statistics indicate that Belgium has a safer environment, with lower indices for organized crime and human trafficking compared to the Dominican Republic.
