Germany offers a compelling mix of cultural heritage, modern infrastructure, and diverse attractions, making it an appealing destination for some Mozambicans. With historical landmarks like the Berlin Wall and Neuschwanstein Castle, it attracts millions of international visitors annually, which could resonate with a segment of Mozambique's 33 million population.
Germany is generally considered a safe destination for tourists, including those from Mozambique. According to the Global Peace Index, Germany ranks 20th out of 160 countries, indicating a high level of safety, especially when compared to Mozambique, which ranks 106th. In terms of crime statistics, Germany has a significantly lower murder rate of 0.8 per 100,000 people, compared to Mozambique's rate of 3.5. Additionally, organized crime indices suggest that while both countries face challenges, Germany has a more favorable environment regarding state crime and various forms of trafficking. Overall, while no destination is without risks, Germany offers a safer environment for tourists compared to Mozambique.
