Germany offers a unique blend of cultural heritage, modern infrastructure, and diverse attractions, making it an appealing destination for some Kenyans. Its historical landmarks, such as the Berlin Wall and Neuschwanstein Castle, attract millions of international visitors annually, suggesting that a segment of Kenya's 54 million population may find it an interesting travel option.
Germany is generally considered a safe destination for tourists, including those from Kenya. According to the Global Peace Index, Germany ranks 20th out of 160 countries, indicating a high level of safety. In comparison, Kenya ranks 120th. While Germany is ranked 29th among 40 European countries for safety while walking alone at night, it still has a significantly lower murder rate of 0.8 per 100,000 people, compared to Kenya's 5.3. Additionally, various crime indices show that Germany has lower levels of organized crime and state crime compared to Kenya. Overall, tourists from Kenya can expect a safer environment in Germany, with lower crime rates and a more stable security situation.
