Cyprus is generally considered safe for tourists, including those from Turkmenistan. It ranks 11th among 40 European countries for safety while walking alone at night. The murder rate in Cyprus is notably low at 1.3 per 100,000 people, compared to Turkmenistan's 4.2. However, the Global Peace Index places Cyprus at 86th out of 160 countries, slightly less safe than Turkmenistan, which ranks 80th. In terms of organized crime, both countries have relatively low indices, with Cyprus scoring slightly worse in some areas, such as crime networks and foreign crime. Nonetheless, Cyprus remains a secure destination for travelers, with lower violent crime rates compared to Turkmenistan. Overall, tourists can feel safe while visiting Cyprus.
