Congo offers appealing landscapes and a unique experience for travelers, making it a potentially interesting destination for some Chadian visitors. Although its tourism sector is still developing, the approximately 100,000 Chadians who travel abroad annually may find Congo an attractive option.
Congo is generally considered safer for tourists compared to Chad. According to the Global Peace Index, Congo ranks 108th out of 160 countries, while Chad is ranked 133rd. In terms of organized crime, Congo has lower indices for various crime categories compared to Chad. For example, mafia groups score 3.0 in Congo versus 5.5 in Chad, and state crime is rated 8.0 in Congo compared to 8.5 in Chad. Overall, while both countries face challenges, Congo presents a relatively safer environment for tourists coming from Chad.
