Belarus offers a unique blend of cultural and natural attractions that could appeal to some Emirati travelers. With 6.3 million Emiratis traveling abroad annually, a portion may find Belarus an intriguing destination worth exploring.
Belarus has a mixed safety profile for tourists from the United Arab Emirates (UAE). According to safety rankings, Belarus is 38th among 40 European countries for safety while walking alone at night. The Global Peace Index ranks Belarus 110th out of 160 countries, indicating lower safety compared to the UAE, which ranks 52nd. In terms of crime statistics, the murder rate in Belarus is 2.4 per 100,000 people, significantly higher than the UAE's rate of 0.5. Female murder rates also reflect this trend, with Belarus at 1.7 compared to 0.4 in the UAE. The Global Organized Crime Index shows that Belarus has higher risks in several categories, such as state crime (ranked 9th) and mafia groups (ranked 4th), compared to the UAE, which performs better in most categories. Overall, while Belarus may offer unique cultural experiences, tourists from the UAE should exercise caution and stay informed about local safety conditions.
