Brazil offers a rich cultural experience and stunning landscapes, making it an appealing destination for some visitors from Zimbabwe. With 3.3 million Zimbabweans traveling abroad annually, a portion may find Brazil's diverse attractions, such as its famous beaches and the Amazon rainforest, particularly enticing.
Brazil presents certain safety concerns for tourists, including those from Zimbabwe. According to the Global Peace Index, Brazil ranks 129th out of 160 countries, which is lower than Zimbabwe's ranking of 119th. The murder rate in Brazil is significantly higher at 22.5 per 100,000 people compared to Zimbabwe's 6.1. Additionally, Brazil faces challenges with organized crime, reflected in its higher indices for mafia groups (7.5) and various forms of trafficking compared to Zimbabwe. While Brazil is a popular tourist destination with vibrant culture and attractions, travelers should exercise caution and stay informed about safety measures.
