Brazil offers a diverse range of attractions, including stunning beaches and the Amazon rainforest, making it an appealing destination for Paraguayan visitors. With around 200,000 Paraguayans traveling abroad annually, a portion of them is likely to choose Brazil for its vibrant culture and rich tourism infrastructure.
Brazil presents certain safety concerns for tourists, especially when compared to Paraguay. According to the Global Peace Index, Brazil ranks 129th out of 160 countries, significantly lower than Paraguay's 71st position. The murder rate in Brazil is notably higher at 22.5 per 100,000 people, compared to Paraguay's 7.8. Additionally, the Global Organized Crime Index indicates that Brazil faces greater challenges with organized crime, with a higher score in areas such as mafia presence and state crime. While many tourists visit Brazil without incident, it is advisable for travelers from Paraguay to stay informed about local conditions, exercise caution, and take standard safety precautions while traveling in Brazil.
