Brazil offers a rich blend of vibrant cultures and stunning landscapes, making it an appealing destination for some Mongolians. Its well-developed tourism infrastructure supports a variety of attractions, including famous beaches and the Amazon rainforest, which could attract a segment of Mongolia's 3 million population.
Brazil presents certain safety concerns for tourists, particularly when compared to Mongolia. According to the Global Peace Index, Brazil ranks 129th out of 160 countries, significantly lower than Mongolia's 44th position. In terms of crime statistics, Brazil has a higher murder rate at 22.5 per 100,000 people, compared to Mongolia's 6.2. Female murder rates also reflect this disparity, with Brazil at 3.5 and Mongolia at 2.5. The Global Organized Crime Index further highlights the challenges in Brazil, with higher scores indicating greater issues. For instance, Brazil scores 7.5 for mafia groups and 8.5 for state crime, while Mongolia scores much lower, indicating a relatively safer environment. Overall, while Brazil is a popular tourist destination, it is advisable for tourists from Mongolia to remain vigilant and informed about local safety conditions.
