Brazil offers a rich cultural experience and stunning landscapes, making it an appealing destination for some of Myanmar's 54 million Bamar people. Its diverse attractions, including famous beaches and the Amazon rainforest, enhance its tourism appeal.
Brazil presents a mixed safety profile for tourists, including those from Myanmar. According to the Global Peace Index, Brazil ranks 129th out of 160 countries, which is better than Myanmar's ranking of 145th. In terms of murder rates, Brazil has a rate of 22.5 per 100,000 people, lower than Myanmar's rate of 28.4. When looking at organized crime, Brazil has a lower score for mafia groups (7.5) compared to Myanmar (9.0) and is also safer regarding foreign crime (3.5 for Brazil vs. 7.5 for Myanmar). However, both countries face challenges with state crime and arms trafficking, scoring similarly at 8.5. Overall, while Brazil has certain safety concerns, it is statistically safer than Myanmar in several areas, making it a relatively safer destination for tourists from Myanmar. However, travelers should remain vigilant and informed about local conditions.
