Brazil offers a rich array of cultural experiences and stunning natural landscapes, making it an appealing option for some Jordanian travelers. With 800,000 Jordanians traveling abroad annually, a portion may find Brazil's diverse attractions, such as its famous beaches and the Amazon rainforest, particularly enticing.
Brazil's safety for tourists, particularly those coming from Jordan, presents some concerns. According to the Global Peace Index, Brazil ranks 129th out of 160 countries, significantly lower than Jordan's 65th position. The murder rate in Brazil is notably high at 22.5 per 100,000 people, compared to Jordan's low rate of 1.0. Additionally, the Global Organized Crime Index highlights various crime aspects, with Brazil scoring poorly in areas such as mafia presence (7.5), state crime (8.5), and drug trafficking (cocaine trade at 9.0), while Jordan scores much better across these categories. Overall, while Brazil offers rich cultural experiences, tourists should remain cautious and informed about safety issues when visiting.
