Brazil offers a captivating mix of vibrant cultures and stunning landscapes, making it an appealing destination for some visitors from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Its well-developed tourism infrastructure supports a variety of attractions, including famous beaches and the Amazon rainforest, which may attract a segment of the country's 3 million residents.
Brazil presents certain safety concerns for tourists, including those from Bosnia and Herzegovina. According to the Global Peace Index, Brazil ranks 129th out of 160 countries, indicating a lower safety level compared to Bosnia and Herzegovina, which ranks 59th. Crime statistics reveal a significant disparity in murder rates: Bosnia and Herzegovina has a murder rate of 1.0 per 100,000 people, while Brazil's rate is much higher at 22.5. Female murder rates also reflect this trend, with Bosnia and Herzegovina at 0.4 and Brazil at 3.5. Furthermore, the Global Organized Crime Index suggests that Brazil faces challenges with organized crime, scoring higher on indices related to mafia presence and various forms of trafficking compared to Bosnia and Herzegovina. In summary, while Brazil offers rich cultural experiences, tourists should be aware of safety concerns and take necessary precautions.
