Bahrain offers a compelling mix of historic charm and modern attractions, making it appealing to some Kuwaiti visitors. With 2.2 million international tourists annually, its vibrant markets and rich pearl diving heritage contribute to its allure. This makes it an interesting destination for a segment of Kuwait's 4 million population.
Bahrain is generally considered a relatively safe destination for tourists, including those coming from Kuwait. According to the Global Peace Index, Bahrain ranks 79th out of 160 countries, which indicates a moderate level of safety, though it is less safe compared to Kuwait, which ranks 25th. In terms of crime statistics, Bahrain has a lower murder rate (0.1 per 100,000 people) compared to Kuwait (0.3). The Global Organized Crime Index shows that both countries have similar scores for mafia groups (1.0) and crime networks (6.0), but Bahrain has a slightly better score for state crime (4.0) compared to Kuwait (6.0). Overall, while Bahrain is relatively safe, travelers should remain aware of their surroundings and exercise standard precautions, as with any travel destination.
