Bangladesh presents an intriguing option for Uzbekistani travelers, showcasing lush landscapes and a diverse cultural heritage. Although it currently attracts fewer tourists globally, its unique offerings appeal to those seeking genuine cultural experiences and natural beauty. With 8.4 million Uzbekistanis traveling abroad annually, a segment of this population may find Bangladesh an appealing destination.
Bangladesh is generally considered less safe for tourists compared to Uzbekistan. According to the Global Peace Index, Bangladesh ranks 91st out of 160 countries, while Uzbekistan is ranked 58th. The murder rate in Bangladesh is 2.4 per 100,000 people, compared to Uzbekistan's 1.4. In terms of organized crime, both countries have similar scores, but Bangladesh has higher indices in areas such as human trafficking (8.0) and arms trafficking (5.0) compared to Uzbekistan's scores of 7.5 and 3.0, respectively. Overall, while tourists can visit Bangladesh, they should remain vigilant and informed about local safety conditions.
