Armenia offers a unique appeal for travelers from China, showcasing its rich history, stunning landscapes, and vibrant culture. With 20.3 million Chinese tourists traveling abroad annually, a portion may find Armenia an intriguing destination worth exploring.
Armenia is generally considered a relatively safe destination for tourists, including those from China. According to the Global Peace Index, Armenia ranks 74th out of 160 countries, which is better than China's ranking of 87th. In terms of crime statistics, the murder rate in Armenia is higher at 2.2 per 100,000 people compared to China's 0.5, but other organized crime indices suggest a lower level of organized crime activity in Armenia. For instance, Armenia scores better in categories such as mafia groups (3.0 vs. 7.0 for China) and crime networks (3.0 vs. 7.5 for China). Overall, while there are some safety concerns, Armenia offers a safer environment for tourists compared to China in several aspects of organized crime.
